Sometimes, it’s almost like we forget what we want and therefore forget to stay focused on it.
Think about it – if you stay focused on what you want for several minutes at a time but then refocus on something else and later forget what it is you wanted while allowing your negative thoughts to take over? If this happens, it means you didn’t put enough positive feeling into the idea of having what you want.
When you think about having what you want, how do you truly feel? Are you happy? Because if you are, even a little bit, you won’t be able to convince yourself of not being where you want to be even if you tried!
We have to remember what it is we want as much as we have to remember that it’s ours already. More often than not, it’s as if one forgets what they want and simply start thinking about what they don’t want.
This revelation came completely unexpectedly but it makes perfect sense. If the Universe knows what we want, why would we ever engage in what we don’t? The Universe knows but we have to put our faith in it in order to receive!
There are multiple desires we have which make us happy. I love to think about a world that treats all animals lovingly – this goal fills me with love. It feels like the most important goal in the world. This is why I also encourage nothing but positive thoughts and treatment of others. Fair enough, I haven’t always nurtured positive thoughts about others but I know how unhappy it made me; then, I realized that I and my obvious, well-deserved happiness are the only important factors whereas those I dislike are simply insignificant to me. Let them find their own company that likes them. We must earn our likeability by being a good person and feeling good about ourselves because no one likes the negative, the arrogant or the empty. Nothing impresses me less than the people who contribute nothing to the world, and the only thing one needs to contribute is their self-love. That’s right, self-love, because those who have it also love others and actually change other people’s lives.
A positive person can change someone’s life with just one encounter.
When you’re happy and positive, it’s easier to stay focused on your desires; when you’re negative, it’s easy to forget them altogether.
I woke up the other day and decided that I was going to go back to being an entirely positive person.
Even if this is who you are most of the time, some things cause temporary stress which makes it hard but I put my all into pulling myself out of it. I suppose in the past weeks, I felt a little burned out.
It’s not like everything has been going smoothly. I had gotten sick for the first time in four years and even a good cold can bring you down – just ask all my clients who have called in for a session during that week! But I love my work so I wanted to remain available because it lifted my spirits. I’ve been exhausted – not chronically but occasionally. I struggled to get along with those closest to me several times. At the same time, I learned to value and always feel confident about my own feelings all over again…and that was an amazing reminder. Especially after I realized that somehow, I had focused on the negative instead of the positive on several occasions and I don’t even know how that happened. I guess one can get caught up in negative feelings sometimes.
Had I become the person I advise everyone to avoid being? I’m probably exaggerating but I learned my lesson which I want to share with you today – I have just gone through this particular period and come out the other side because I hadn’t communicated my issues in a positive way but in a negative manner instead, both to myself and others.
Often, when you want to attract something you desire more than anything else in life, you don’t feel like doing anything in your current reality anymore until it comes. However, when you only think about one thing, that one thing, you are bound to run out of positive thoughts at some point and switch to negative ones.
Positive beliefs stick but a variety of positive thoughts comes and goes throughout the day. In the moments they go, it is important to switch your thoughts to something else that makes you happy instead of continuing to think about your desired manifestation. This is how the mind works so when you try to force yourself to keep the positive thoughts going, the forcing makes you switch to negative thoughts soon enough. Forcing yourself is unnatural, tension-creating energy that will ultimately rattle your brainwaves and produce negative thoughts.
In my books, blogging and personal coaching, I have always emphasized two options for using affirmations to attract the desired – being grateful for your desire being yours already or expressing gratitude for your desire being on its way. Either way works but your choice depends on what makes you comfortable, allowing you to either feel good about everything being yours already or accept its upcoming arrival without experiencing resistance from being too aware it isn’t here yet. (The latter requires being okay in your current reality as it is, until your desire arrives).
Some can easily imagine their desires being a done deal in the sense of belonging to them already – these individuals have the easiest time imagining reality as they want it to be. Others can imagine themselves having their desires but have an easier time thinking those desires are still coming to life which allows them to let go.
I still switch between the two depending on the goal in question but today, I prefer the method of expressing gratitude for living my desired reality right now. It’s my life already; it’s mine right now. Technique one. Continue reading “The Next Chapter”
If instead of your true heart’s desire you accept one deemed easier to manifest, it isn’t fair to anyone involved.
If you should accept any goal you consider easier to manifest than your true heart’s desire, this isn’t fair to you or anyone else.
What we want wants us back.
The Universe wants to give you what you want.
Your true heart’s desire wants you just as much as you want it.
